The sacred dwells within the heart of every being, irrespective of caste, color or belief system. But will everyone realize it?
Krishna makes it clear in the Gita that the way to victory is not by trying to change others. It is not by trying to control others. The way to victory is by applying oneself diligently to one’s dharma. Dharma in the direction of the absolute and dharma in the direction of the relative. Dharma in the direction of Brahman and dharma in the direction of the spirit manifest. Realizing sacred within and without. Swadharma, focusing on one’s own dharma. First building a strong foundation, transforming your own consciousness, your own being. Realizing the deep love of existence.
In the Bhagavad Gita, Krishna shares deep wisdom with Arjuna. He tells Arjuna that this wisdom is the supreme wisdom. This knowledge is liberating. This wisdom, when applied, when embodied, liberates the heart. It liberates the intellect. It liberates the Atman.
But Krishna makes it clear that this wisdom needs to be embodied. Hearing it isn’t enough. It has to be embodied. There has to be vichara. There has to be viveka. There has to be abhyasa. There has to be contemplation. There has to be integration. There has to be practice. You have to dive deep within the ocean of wisdom.
You can hear this supreme wisdom but yet the wisdom can still remain a secret to you, with no change taking place in your status, just like Dritarashtra, the blind king. Or you can hear this profound wisdom, apply it, and be completely transformed. The choice is yours. The choice is ours.
The wisdom needs to be deeply realized. Only those who are willing will realize. And in that realization, they will gain liberation. And those who are not willing will not realize. And that's also okay.
There is no command from Krishna. It is Arjuna who has to take the action. That is the beauty of the yogic teachings. They are simply an invitation, an invitation of love.
The nature of Brahman is love and that love is unconditional. The infinite being, truth, spirit, love is always here. That love cannot stop loving you. The ocean cannot leave the wave. Infinity has nowhere else to go. The infinite cannot forsake the finite, for only infinite exists. That supreme being, that one consciousness, cannot forsake. That love is always here. But it's up to us to realize.
Who you are looking for is looking for you. What you are looking for is actually from where you are looking.
So, Krishna tells Arjuna not to worry, as it is all working out. And all problems will be dissolved as these teachings are embodied. As the truth is realized, all misery resolves, all struggle dissolves. So, instead, rise up. Be strengthened by this light of wisdom. Be set free by this knowledge. Take action. Face the challenges that you have to face. You cannot avoid them. There is a supreme intelligent system in place, so nature will propel you to face that which you need to face. No matter where you go, challenges will have to be faced. But nothing is wrong, so do not worry. Instead, practice. There is only an opportunity for you to realize, for you to evolve, for you grow, for you to dive deep in the ocean of love. So, dive deep. Take the progressive action. Practice and do not worry. Relinquish control. Surrender your action unto me.
And what about you? Are you willing to understand the secret?
