Yoga Nidra, or yogic sleep, is a state of consciousness between waking and sleeping, induced by a guided meditation.
It is practiced lying down, in a comfortable position. Your attention is drawn inwards and you begin to surf between the states of wakefulness and sleep. The breath slows and the system calms downs, locating a state of balance within itself. This allows space for unconscious aspects of the mind to reveal themselves.
