About Me

Wes Barnett is a Sattva Master Teacher, Vedic astrologer, hypnotist, and entrepreneur devoted to cultivating clarity, emotional intelligence, and grounded leadership. His journey into yoga began at the age of sixteen, when early life challenges led him toward a path rooted in practice, service, and community.

Since 2016, Wes has returned regularly to Sattva Yoga Academy in Rishikesh, immersing himself in the classical teachings and embodied practices of the Himalayan yogic tradition. Alongside his teaching, he has been facilitating sharing circles since 2013, creating spaces for honest dialogue, emotional growth, and conscious accountability.

His work bridges spiritual depth with practical integration. Through his guidance, students are invited to develop greater self-awareness, emotional intelligence, and the capacity to move through life with clarity and purpose.

At the heart of Wes’s teaching is the understanding that real transformation is not found in peak experiences, but in how insight is embodied in everyday life.

A Little More About Me

What yoga means to me today

Yoga is the alignment of identity, action, and service. It is the daily practice of returning to what is true and living from that place with integrity.

The practice I return to again and again

Daily meditation and grounding into my senses as well as the 3-6-9 breath. It brings me back to stability, clarity, and presence.

What I am currently learning on my path

I am learning to exercise the superpower of asking for help. There are emotions and experiences we are not meant to move through alone, and true strength includes knowing where I’m at/when to receive support.

A mantra or truth I live by today

Simplicity. Service. Radical celebration.

A teaching that continues to guide me

Identity leads to separation, yet I must know my roles and play them fully and consciously.

What I hope students experience in my classes

Clarity, grounded empowerment, and the capacity to move through life with emotional intelligence and self-responsibility.
